 Position requires certification in infection control; degree in microbiology, public health or
hospital epidemiology desirable, related clinical health degree considered; certification in
health care quality preferred. CIC certification. Minimum 5 yrs. direct experience in
microbiology, public health, or epidemiology; infection control experience highly desirable,
CIC certification preferred. Provide surveillance, prevention, and control of infection
throughout the organization (hospital, home health, and ambulatory care services); initiate infection control measures as directed by Infection Control Committee. Knowledge of infection control strategies, knowledge of CDC, NIOSH, Arizona Department of Health, FDA, and OSHA
requirements/standards is a must, knowledge of performance improvement, the use of
statistical tools for analysis of aggregate data and work processing spreadsheet applications required, good organizational and written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Patient Financial Services - Financial Counseling / Cashier Manager.  Holds management responsibilities for timely, accurate collection of all revenue due from insurance carriers, guarantors and third party liabilities.  Ensures fiscal viability with collection of accurate insurance/financial and demographic data.  Makes a positive contribution toward department
and hospital goals in terms of account liquidation, payment rate, A/R days, internal/external
survey results.  Ensures that legal and regulatory standards and hospital/department policies
and procedures are carried out.  Patient Account and Registration processes, system
conversions and training.  Informs Director of significant issues and assumes department responsibilities in the absence of the Director.
** High School diploma required, BA in Business or Accounting preferred; may satisfy by substituting 2 years of related work experience in exchange for each year of college course
work (course work or specific experience in Business, Accounting and medical terminology).
